Fifth difficulty level:
Successfully complete all challenges listed in Challenge
mode from any two zones.
Hint: Easy goals:
To get the most out of corners, aim towards where the
most people are (slightly to your left if you are taking it from
the right side of the pitch and vice versa) then set it to full
power by holding Circle. As soon as it comes in, keep tapping
Circle and someone will header it in. When the goal keeper throws the ball to a defender, quickly tackle
the defender and hold L1 and press Circle. Almost
always this will chip the keeper, as he cannot get back to the
line in time. This makes for a good replay, and also works from
half way if you can time it correctly. Use the following trick to score an easy goal from corners. If
you are kicking the corner from the left side of the field, then
kick it with a lefty. If you are kicking it from the right side,
use a right-handed player. Aim as far away from the field as possible,
and kick it with about 75% full. After this, keep pressing Circle
and someone will most likely header it in after it hits the post.
Hint: Stopping penalty kicks:
Use the following trick to stop a penalty kick about
80% of the time. Move your goalkeeper to either the left or the
right side of the goal (as far as you can move him). While the
striker is running up, move the goalkeeper to the opposite side
(of where you first moved) and dive low. About 80% of the time
you will stop the kick. Use the Left Analog-stick to sidestep
faster and get a better chance of saving the ball. Note: Sometimes
the kick is too good to stop or he will not kick this way.
Hint: Manager mode: Spending experience
points:
In Manager mode, access the experience points menu.
Near the top of the screen is an option you can toggle if you
wish to have the experience points spent automatically. Turn the
autospend off. Save up until you have about 40,000 experience
points, or roughly a third of a season. Then, go back into the
menu where you spend your points. You can spend a lot more points
in one go. This makes it easier to decide what aspects of a player
to upgrade. When you have 40,000 experience points, turn on the
auto spend. The CPU spends the points better if there are more
to spend.
Hint: Manager Mode: Get a very large budget
with a low club:
Use the following trick to get, for example, £50,000,000
as a budget with a club like Stoke City or even Torquay. Start
a new manager career. Sign to a big and wealthy club, such as
Manchester United, Real Madrid or Barcelona for example. Make
sure you have some very expensive players on your team, such as
Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, and Wayne Rooney. Spend a few
seasons with this club until these players reach their peak overall.
Then, make sure their contracts all run out at the same time and
refuse to renew them at the end of the season. Doing this will
make them free agents. When asked if you want to stay at the club,
say "No", and sign with a low budget, low rated club.
During the transfer window, sign the players without a fee from
free agency. Note: You must set their wages higher than their
market salary or they probably will not come to your club. Doing
this will make your budget fall into the below zero zone. Sell
the player(s) as soon as you sign them so that someone else will
have to pay you the player's transfer fee. Accept it, and you
will end up with their pay. This large amount of money will allow
you to sign better players than the club already has, but you
should fully upgrade your staff before doing this. Note that if
you are unable to sell the player before the transfer window ends,
you will be fired because their salary is causing the club to
lose a big amount of money every week.
Hint: Recommended formation:
Go to "Create Formation" and select 4-3-3
as your base. Make the four defenders a wide diamond, with the
sweeper at the bottom of the diamond in the middle of the 18 box,
two defenders at the corners of the box, and the last defender
just above the semi circle slightly. Note: The top defender should
become a midfielder if you have him placed correctly. This formation
works better than the 4-3-3 alone as well as any other formation.
Hint: Recommended team:
Use the following players.
Ronahldino
Eto'o
Henry (Chelsea)
Rooney
Cech
Shevchenko
The following is a great set of players to have on Manager mode.
These players are quality buys if you can get them quite cheap

players aged between 16 to 19. You can find some 17 or 18 year
olds with a rating of 90. These players only cost about $7 million
because of their age, and you can make them worth about 40 in
a season if the play well for you.
