mode allows you to replay any chapter with any character, cinluding
Broly, Bardock, Krillin, Tien, and Yamcha.
Pendulum Room mode storyline:
Unlock Pendulum Room mode, then play the following
random chapter episodes in this order:
Saiyan Saga: Saiyan's Duel
Ginyu Saga: Goku isn't Goku?
Frieza Saga: Super Saiyan Goku
Android Saga: Piccolo's Fusion
Cell Saga: The Final Showdown
Yardrat Saga: Goku on Yardrat
Hint: Defeating Bosses:
When fighting a Boss, have a special move, teleport,
and a good combo chosen. Run up to the Boss enough to teleport
behind them, then do a combo. When he or she gets thrown away,
lock on quickly and hurl a special move to cause maximum damage.
Hint: Defeating Android 17:
To defeat Android 17 in Trunk's Saga, dodge his blasts,
then press Punch four times each round.
Hint: Defeating Android 18:
To defeat Android 18 in Trunk's Saga, dodge her blasts,
then press Punch four times.
Hint: Defeating Captain Ginyu:
When you are fighting Captain Ginyu, he digs underground
most of the time and attacks from underneath. To avoid this, get
up in the air and stay there. Captain Ginyu cannot fly. When you
are up in the air, you can charge your Ki or a special move then
keep launching attacks at him. He should be defeated after awhile.
You will need the attack Uppercut Special Move and Teleport. He
digs a lot -- stay in the air. It is also useful to recharge the
Ki meter in the air for some Bosses. Use uppercut on Captain Ginyu,
then do Galik Gun when he falls to the ground. Wait until he gets
half way up, then teleport behind him. Do punch and kick combos.
Repeat this until he has been defeated.
Hint: Defeating Cell:
Once in SS1, do only simple combos with a lot of buttons
involved. The more buttons the better. Try using the first two
combos that you learn. Note: You must have Combo Breaker. Try
not to use Ki moves unless you have to; the longer you must charge,
the more open you are to attacks.
Hint: Defeating Frieza:
When fighting Frieza in Tyranny Of Friezam, he will
Shoot Death Balls at you. Either dodge them, or when you are close
to him, punch or kick him. He will dodge your Galick Guns by teleporting.
Just punch him until Piccolo arrives.
Hint: Defeating Imperfect Cell:
Once you are on the island, Sabamen will start attacking
you. After the Sabamen, Imperfect Cell will appear. When you fight
him you can kill him easily. Use uppercut, then lock on to him.
Then, do Galik Gun. He will fall to the ground. Transport and
do a another Galik Gun. Run up to him and start doing kicking
combos.
Hint: Defeating Kid Buu:
To defeat Kid Buu, you must use Spirit Bomb with Goku
as your character. You must do this for about a half hour until
he is defeated.
Hint: Defeating Vegeta:
When fighting Vegeta, stay in the air the entire time.
Dodge his Galic Guns. When he uses his other attack, it will only
affect you if you are on the ground. While that attack occurs,
Vegeta will be vulnerable. Lock on to him with L1 and hold
Circle to hit him with a Kamehameha Wave. Keep doing this
until he is defeated. You should not lose any health by doing
this. Fly in the air so you do not get hit, then stay in the air. Hold
Circle, then when Goku says Kame, release Circle.
It will almost always hit him. Dodge his moves and get up to him. Keep attacking with Square(2),
Triangle(2). Do not stop doing this to prevent Vegeta from
guarding. Sometimes he will make a quick guard and start beating
you again. Note: He is very fast.
Hint: Gohan: Defeating Nappa:
Fly while shooting Mesenkos at Nappa. Nappa will eventually
start shooting blasts of energy that paralyze you. Quickly dodge
them and fire at him.
Hint: Goku: Defeating Freiza:
When fighting Freiza as Goku, you can only hurt him
when you are a Super Saiyan. When he charges up his Death Ball,
use the Quick Teleport (if purchased) to get to him and deliver
the blows to hurt him or charge up your Super Saiyan meter. Try
using only punches and kicks, as he will dodge the Kamehame Wave.
It will only hit and hurt him if you are Super Saiyan and if done
while he is charging up his Death Ball.
Hint: Goku: Finishing moves:
Press Triangle(5).
Hint: Teen Gohan: Defeating Perfect Cell:
Keep hitting him until the Ki bar for Super Saiyan
is full. Then turn Super Saiyan and keep hitting him until you
have filled the Ki bar for Super Saiyan 2. Finally, when you turn
Super Saiyan 2 attack Cell with Masenko, but first lock on to
him with L1. If he teleports behind you, use a combo. Note:
Do not waste your Ki on Cell.
Hint: Hit Dende:
In Tyranny Of Frieza you can hit Dende with Ki balls
or a special move.
Hint: Protecting Goku:
With two players, while one is fighting the Android,
have the other person stand in between Goku and Dr. Gero. The
Ki Blasts that Dr. Gero shoots should hit the other player instead
of Goku. Make sure that they are a short distance away from Goku,
as the explosion from taking the Ki Blasts can also hurt him.
Hint: Pendulum room:
All enemies have more health than usual, regardless
of difficulty, because you can go back and play any level with
any character capable going Super Saiyan/Namek even if they did
not exist at that particular point in the game. This is can be
useful when playing in the Trunks Saga levels; in both levels
under the Hard difficulty you can build up enough energy to go
Super Saiyan/Namek ten to twelve times. To defeat Bosses in the
Pendulum, build up your Super Saiyan/Namek meter and transform.
Do as many combos as possible to keep your meter as high as you
can. With any luck, you can defeat the Bosses without changing
back to normal. Note: When fighting enemies that used "Combo
Breakers" in Play Sagas mode, those enemies will be much
more inclined to use the technique, which can cause your Super
Saiyan/Namek energy to drain quickly.
Hint: Warp finishing move:
When locking onto an opponent with any character, while
charging for an attack, teleport in front or in back of your opponent
and attack.
Hint: Fly backwards:
Jump into the air and press X to hover. Then,
hold Left Analog-stick Forward to fly until you nearly
reach your maximum speed. Then, immediately hold Left Analog-stick
Away and you will fly backwards. Rotate the Left Analog-stick
for more backwards-zooming fun.
Hint: Easy energy blast hits:
When fighting a henchmen or Boss, get him within the
view of the screen. You can do this when you are on the ground
or in the air. Hold Circle. When game play slows down and
your character starts charging up a blast, press L1 and
put your aiming reticule on your enemy. Press Teleportation
(R2). You will teleport directly behind the enemy while
you are still charging up. Once you have appeared behind the enemy,
immediately release Circle to blast your enemy at point
blank range. If you want to be reckless, charge another one after
he falls to the ground from the last attack. Teleport behind him
and blast him again. You can do this repeatedly. Note: It is easier
to do this when the enemy is distracted by charging up his own
blast or doing any other attack that he may be trying to perform.
Just hit him with this before he can make it successful.
Hint: Instant Transmission Kamehameha:
To do this, Teleport is required. When you are far
away from your opponent, lock on to them and start your special
technique. Immediately before you launch it, press R2 to
teleport directly next to your opponent. A better way to do this
is if you have uppercut; hit you opponent into the air, start
your technique, and teleport right next to them. By doing this
you will have a clear shot and should not miss. This is a great
way to defeat Bosses and can be done be anyone.
Hint: Warp Kamekameha:
To do a Warp Kamehameha or any Warp Ki attack, when
charging it lock on to your opponent and teleport.
Hint: Easy practice:
Set the game on two-player mode. Have the second player
be Goku or Vegeta. You will win against him because he cannot
attack.
Hint: Easy wins:
Throw someone. When they go flying, do Galick Gun,
etc. and it will kill them.
Hint: Playable characters:
There are fifteen characters that can be played. However,
only six of them are playable in different levels in "Play
Sagas". However, in Pendulum Room mode, all characters are

turn invisible.
