Hint: Better performance:
Put Amir Khan and Achmed Khan on the same team and
both of their skills will increase. The same happens when Ashley
Webber and Sidney Webber are on the same team.
Major league players will have increased skills when playing for
their real life team. For example, Randy Johnson will perform
better when playing as an Arizona Diamondback.
Hint: Better bats:
To get a special bat (in any mode except tee-ball)
you must get a double play. You can walk a man. When the other
player comes up, he might hit a single. Note: Get a fast pitcher
to run to first and tag the player out. Note: Sometimes you may
strike out the person or not get him if you have two outs.
Hint: Hitting power-ups:
To get two hitting power-ups, get the bases loaded.
An easy way to do this is to get some fast runners and have them
all bunt. Then, get your power hitter in there and hit the ball
over the fence. As soon as the last person touches the plate,
you will feel a rumble that indicates you got the power-ups.
Hint Offensive power-up:
When the team you are playing against hits a high pop-up,
instead of catching the ball as usual, stand a short distance
from where the ball is going to land. When the ball is just about
to hit the ground, dive by pressing Circle. If you catch
the ball you will get a power-up for offense. Note: You will not
always catch the ball because you are making it a diving play.
Hint: Choose a different pitch:
After selecting a pitch to throw, the game will usually
not let you go back to change your pitch. For example, after selecting
a fastball you cannot go back to select a change-up as a pitch.
However, there is a way to change your pitch after selecting one.
After you have chosen a pitch, throw the ball to first by holding
the Right Analog-stick Right. Even if there is no runner
on first base at the time, the game will still let you throw the
ball to first. After throwing the ball to first, the pitching
screen will return, allowing you to choose a different pitch.
Hint: Have fang pitch land in the strike
zone:
Usually when you get the pitch "Fang", you
cannot throw it in the strike zone. However, there is a way to
get the fang over the plate. It all depends on if your pitcher
is left-handed or right-handed. If your pitcher is left-handed,
to get fang over the plate you must aim the pitch as high and
far to the right you can put it. If your pitcher is left handed,
just aim the ball to go in the top right corner. If your pitcher
is a right-handed, aim the ball as far to the left and the highest
you can put it. If your pitcher is right-handed, aim the ball
in the top left corner. Note: This does not work well with very
short kids because of how big their strike zone is.
Hint: Homerun Derby:
Note: You have to be fast. Choose two people and select
a third person immediately before the screen changes. This will
help you get more hits and homeruns.
If you want to do better in the Home Run Derby, instead of choosing
a pre-made kid, create your own player. For his stats, put his
"Power" and "Contact" all the way up. Doing
this will make him a very good power hitter, which is the most
desirable type of player for a Home Run Derby.
Hint: Homerun bonus:
Hit a homerun with every person in your line-up in
a row. You will get ten aluminum bat power-ups and ten geyser
power-ups.
Hint: Better batting average for Abner
Doubleplay:
Make him bunt or hit with power. You will get a better
batting average by using power because he is a great power hitter,
and he will get a better batting average bunting because he is
a very fast runner.
Hint: Better batting average for Albert
Pujols:
Hit with power. You will increase his batting average
because he is a great power hitter.
Hint: Better batting average for Alex Rodriguez:
Make him hit with power. He is a great power hitter.
Hint: Better batting average for Barry
Dejay:
Make him bunt because he is a fast runner.
Hint: Better batting average for Carlos
Delgado:
Make him hit with power. You will get a better batting
average because he is a great power hitter.
Hint: Better batting average for Derek
Jeter:
Make him hit with either contact or power. You will
get a better batting average because he is a good contact hitter
and a pretty good power hitter.
Hint: Better batting average for Ichiro:
Bunt with him or hit a line drive with him. Doing this
will improve his batting average because Ichiro is not a good
power hitter, but is very fast with a good contact hitting status.
Hint: Better batting average for Jim Thome:
Make him hit with power. This will increase his batting
average because he is a great power hitter.
Hint: Better batting average for Kisha
Phillips:
Make her hit with power. She is a great power hitter.
Hint: Better batting average for Mike Piazza:
Make him hit with power. He is a great power hitter.
Hint: Better batting average for Pablo
Sanchez:
Hit with power. This will get him a better batting
average because Pablo is one of the best power hitters in the
game. If you get a hold of the right pitch, 90% of the time he
will hit the ball out of the park.
Hint: Better batting average for Pete Wheeler:
Bunt with him. You will get a better batting average
by bunting because he is a very fast runner.
Hint: Better batting average for Sammy
Sosa:
Make him hit with power. You will get a better batting
average because he is a great power hitter.
Hint: Better batting average for Shawn
Green:
Make him hit with a line drive. He is a great line
drive hitter.
Hint: Shorter homerun:
When you have the hitting power-up Unlimited Bat and
the other team has Rainbow Pitch or vice versa, you will still
hit a homerun, but the ball will not travel as far as it would
if it got hit by Unlimited Bat without Rainbow Pitch.
Hit a homerun into the pool at Steele Stadium, into the
swamp at Gator Flats, and into the lake at Frasier Field. The
Aquadome stadium should now be unlocked.
