A good way for beginners to start this game is to use the following equipment: semi automatic rifle (the sportster), antlers for a call, the very first urine can, and a tree stand. The tent will heal you overnight if you get stuck out there at night and are injured.

The best rifle to use for hunting anything is the 30-06 semi automatic (S-A) Sportster, sighted in at the furthest target on the sighting range if you like to take long shots or sight in at whatever range you like to shoot at. Note: If you sight in at the furthest target, do not aim above the animal, as the 30-06 does not drop much.
